About the Wolfeye Project

Wolfeye is an independent software project from Germany. I, Ángel González Gómez, have developed and operated the application as a sole proprietor since 2022. The project follows a deliberately focused approach: making the screens of multiple managed Windows PCs visible in one clear browser view. Wolfeye was not created as a comprehensive platform for time tracking, productivity scoring or the complete analysis of user activity.

The project began with a simple technical question: How can several Windows screens be brought together in one shared view without opening a separate remote desktop connection for every computer?

This led to a browser-based overview in which the current screen content of connected computers is displayed together. The project remains focused on this direct and easily understandable view.

Wolfeye is not intended to collect as much data as possible about computer users. During normal live operation, the current screen view is transmitted and then replaced by the next one.

Screenshot history can be enabled as an option. Its storage is also limited: once the defined number of images has been reached, each new screenshot replaces the oldest one.

This approach is part of the project’s basic idea: provide as much visibility as the particular use case requires without collecting an unnecessarily large amount of data.

Wolfeye was initially developed for businesses and IT service providers that wanted to see several managed Windows PCs in one shared overview.

Over time, additional uses emerged. These include training rooms and educational institutions, where teachers can view student computer screens to support lessons and identify more quickly where help is needed.

Feedback from these different environments contributes to the continued development of the project. Its basic focus remains the same: a simple and clear live view of managed Windows computers.

Wolfeye is developed and operated by me, Ángel González Gómez. Product development, technical improvements and customer communication are therefore not divided between different departments but handled directly within the project.

Wolfeye is not a product of a large software corporation. It is an independently built software project from Germany that is being developed for the long term.

Screen-viewing software raises questions concerning data protection, employment law and personal privacy. Wolfeye is intended exclusively for computers that belong to or are managed by an organization.

Each organization is responsible for complying with the laws, internal policies and information requirements that apply to it. Where transparency or consent is required, the people concerned must be informed accordingly.
